FRC 1678: Citrus Circuits
2017 - 2021
⚙️ Engineering
FRC Team 1678 Citrus Circuits is a competitive high school robotics program out of Davis, CA. Citrus holds the record for most consecutive appearances at World Championship Finals (called Einsteins), and is widely recognized as a top program of the roughly four thousand teams globally.
Sophisticated Design, By High Schoolers
In my role as Design Lead, I led and oversaw the ideation, prototyping, CAD, assembly, and iteration of the team’s robots
Rapid Prototyping
With only two months to build a competition-ready robot, we found success in a quick, iterative process
Mechanism Testing
Proof of concept of the ball indexing system and turreted shooter, with much room for improvement
Final Models
Taking our learnings from previous attempts, the final mechanisms are designed with pocketed plates, custom gearboxes, and more attention to detail
The Competition Robot
While the 2020 season was cut short due to the pandemic, I am proud of the team’s efforts. The final product speaks to the long hours spent leading up to competition.
Thrilling Moments
In my role as Robot Operator, I drove the team to National Championship Finals (Einsteins) in 2019
Uplifting the Community
Being able to share some of my learnings with the greater FRC community was the most rewarding part of my involvement
