Rockefeller Leadership Fellows (RLF) is the capstone public policy leadership program for Dartmouth juniors and seniors.

I teamed up with colleagues Sara McKenna ’25, Megan Hagge ’25, and Sophia Hall ’26 to explore the guiding question:

How might we mobilize private investment to make alternative and renewable energy industries more economically viable compared to incumbent industries such as oil?

During winter break at the end of 2024, the cohort traveled to Washington, DC to meet with policymakers, government agencies, and NGOs regarding our chosen policy areas. My colleagues and I met with Legislative Assistants from both Peter Welch’s and Jeanne Shaheen’s senate offices, along with Joe Hezir of the Energy Futures Initiative (EFI) and Arthur Haubenstock of the U.S. Department of Energy.
