My first year at Dartmouth, I contributed to research at the Baker Lab in the Thayer School, attempting to synthesize lab-produced permanent magnets crucial to the renewable energy transition.

In order to create the material to analyze, I combined pure Manganese, Nickel, Cobalt, and Silicon in the correct ratios and melted until homogeneous
