Synthesized permanent magnets for renewable energy applications at Dartmouth's Baker Lab.

Working in Baker Lab at Thayer, I combined pure Manganese, Nickel, Cobalt, and Silicon in precise ratios and melted the mixture to achieve homogeneity.

I operated a scanning electron microscope to confirm material homogeneity and document samples. The two-term project culminated in a presentation at Dartmouth's undergraduate research symposium.
